Brazilian Grand Prix: a decisive round for the world title between Norris and Piastri
We’re counting the hours until Sunday. And to be totally transparent, your Belgian online betting site Golden Vegas Sport can’t wait either. And you might be wondering which event we're talking about?
It is, of course, the Brazilian Grand Prix. And for good reason! Voted the most beautiful round of the season last year thanks to a circuit perfect for spectacle, the São Paulo track will be decisive in the world title fight. Our most loyal blog readers already know it.
The season has been full of twists and turns. And the good news is, it’s not over yet. With four races to go, the suspense is unbearable. Maybe even unprecedented. Here are all the key stakes to know so you can bet now or live on our site.
Suspense like in 2008 with Massa?
Say Interlagos and you say crazy scenario. The biggest fans will travel back 17 years, to 2008. Back then, the Brazilian GP was the last race of the season. At home, Massa thought he was finally becoming world champion.
The local driver crossed the line in first place. And Hamilton, who needed to finish in the top five, was sixth just a few metres before the end. That’s exactly when the Brit decided to offer Formula 1 the wildest finale in history.
Two hundred metres from the finish, in pouring rain, Hamilton overtook poor Timo Glock, the only one still on dry tyres. What better way to claim the first of his seven world crowns?
Which of Piastri or Norris will open his trophy cabinet and win his first world title this year? It’s your call!

Mexico changed everything
After reflecting on past memories, let’s return to the present. The previous round in Mexico reshuffled the deck. Norris won comfortably while Piastri, his teammate, only finished in fifth place.
That allowed the Brit to retake the lead in the championship by a single point, while Verstappen — who had won in Monza, Italy — kept his title dream alive by finishing on the podium. Victory in Brazil will therefore be decisive.
"The most important thing right now is to try to rediscover the rhythm I had a few weeks ago. I've struggled over the past few weekends, and that’s the key thing to understand to move forward again," said Piastri, who now needs to wake up. He is priced at 5.50 for this weekend, both on our site and in our physical venues.

A welcome podium for Russell
Behind, the pack will fight for the remaining positions. With the season coming to an end, some may start to worry. Others are more comfortable but must already think long-term.
This is the case for George Russell. Winner in Singapore, the driver who has held the Mercedes seat since 2022 has been extended for the upcoming 2026 campaign. But he must already think about 2027 if he wants to keep his place.
"We have a specific clause stating that if I reach a certain target, we automatically renew for 2027. So my seat for 2027 is in my hands," he told the press.
What better way to boost his chances than securing a podium — even if competition will be fierce with Fernando Alonso and Charles Leclerc?
