Opti Odds: more legs, higher odds

Opti Odds is the Golden Vegas odds boost for accumulators. As soon as a slip holds three legs, the odds on every eligible selection go up, and the increase grows with each leg you add, up to eight.

The idea is simple, but it rests on an accumulator, with the constraints that come with that format. Whether you are putting together a weekend of fixtures in Belgium's top flight or matches from several leagues, here is what the boost changes, the conditions to meet and what to keep in mind before you place a slip.

What Opti Odds changes on an accumulator

In an accumulator, the odds of each selection are multiplied together to give the total odds of the slip. Every selection has to win for the bet to win.

The boost leaves that rule untouched. It raises the odds on each eligible selection, so the final odds of the slip climb further the longer the slip is. It applies to accumulators only: neither a single nor a slip with several combinations qualifies.

Opti Odds conditions

The slip must hold between three and eight legs. Only selections at odds of 1.60 or above are boosted: a selection below that threshold stays at its original odds.

Why the boost starts at odds of 1.60

That threshold corresponds to an implied probability of 62.5% (1 ÷ 1.60). The clearest favourites, at shorter odds, therefore fall outside the boost.

How odds, their probability and the bookmaker's margin fit together is covered in our guide to the probability behind the odds. It helps you judge whether a selection at 1.60 deserves its place on the slip, boost or not.

Boosted accumulators in every sport and on the BetBuilder

The boost is not limited to football: it applies to accumulators in every sport, with the same conditions on the number of legs and the minimum odds.

The BetBuilder is eligible too. A bet built on several markets within one match can therefore go into a boosted accumulator, under the same rules: three to eight legs and odds of at least 1.60 per element.

Worked example: accumulator odds by number of legs

To see the effect of the number of legs, start from selections all at odds of 1.60, before the boost. With three legs, the base odds of the accumulator reach 4.10, an implied probability of around 24.4%. With five legs, they rise to 10.49 and the probability drops below 10%. With eight legs, the Opti Odds maximum, the odds climb to 42.95: a €10 stake could return €429.50 before the boost, for an implied probability of around 2.3%.

The boost is then added on top of each of these odds. The odds on the slip therefore rise quickly with its length, but the chance that it comes in falls at the same rate.

Take a more realistic case. A three-leg accumulator at 1.60, 1.75 and 2.00 has base odds of 5.60 (1.60 × 1.75 × 2.00). On a €10 stake, the potential return before the boost is €56.00, and all three selections are eligible for the boost.

More legs, more risk

The boost grows with the length of the slip, but that length comes at a cost. An accumulator is lost as soon as one selection fails, whatever happens to the others. Adding a leg to increase the boost lifts the odds and, at the same time, lowers the chance that the slip comes in.

Probabilities multiply just as odds do. Three selections that each have an even chance come in together only once in eight. The eight-leg slip at 1.60 above comes in, in theory, only about once in 43.

On top of that comes a constraint shared by the whole industry: every set of odds includes a margin, and in an accumulator those margins stack up from one selection to the next. It is better to pick each leg on its own merits than to lengthen the slip, and to set your stake before building it rather than around the return on display.

Before you place your slip

Does a selection below 1.60 get the boost?

No. It stays in your accumulator at its original odds, without the boost. Only selections at 1.60 or above are boosted.

Does Opti Odds also apply to in-play bets?

Yes. The boost works on accumulators placed before the match and on accumulators placed in-play, with the same conditions.

Are Opti Odds and BetXtra the same product?

No. They are two separate products, each with its own conditions: Opti Odds only concerns the odds on accumulators.

This boost raises the odds on accumulators of three to eight legs, selection by selection from 1.60, and it grows with the length of the slip. It changes nothing about the basic rule: one mistake is enough to lose the bet. Golden Vegas Sport is the licensed Belgian bookmaker behind this boost: check the odds of your selections before you confirm, and set your stake according to the risk you are prepared to take.
