World Cup 2026: The Red Devils on an exotic trip to Liechtenstein

The season kicked off at full speed, as you’ve already seen on our Golden Vegas Sport platform. And this is just the beginning, since plenty of emotions have already come through several competitions.

With the European Cup qualifying rounds that lit up our summer, it’s hard to believe the Jupiler Pro League already resumed a month ago, with 6 matchdays played — that’s 1/6 of the regular phase.

If Anderlecht and Charleroi disappointed by failing to qualify for the final stages of the Europa and Conference League, at least Club Bruges joined Union Saint-Gilloise in the Champions League.

But before the start of the European competitions, there will be a two-week wait. Simply because the international break gives clubs two weeks off.

A must-win for the Red Devils

With the return of the five major leagues, international football is back. And with less than a year before the World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, national teams are eager to book their tickets.

Starting with our Red Devils. Rudi Garcia’s men had a scare at the beginning of these qualifiers. After a disappointing draw in North Macedonia, our team almost wrecked their campaign.

Against Wales at King Baudouin Stadium, Belgium led 3-0 in the first half hour, before conceding three just as quickly. Luckily, De Bruyne saved the day.

The next trip to Liechtenstein should be far easier. It’s the first time our country travels there. And on your favorite Belgium online betting site, GoldenVegas Sport, nobody expects any other result than a win. Unless you dare to bet on the big odds for a jackpot.

Who will score without Lukaku and Fofana?

One thing is certain: Belgium will have to face Liechtenstein without Romelu Lukaku. The most prolific scorer in Red Devils history has suffered the most serious injury of his career. The former Anderlecht striker will be out for 4 months.

He sustained a tear of the right femoral muscle in his left thigh and will undergo surgery. “We will qualify without Romelu,” said Rudi Garcia, who recalled Michy Batshuayi, “the only penalty-box striker,” according to the coach.

Without Big Rom, the task looks tough, but the French manager insists on staying positive. “We showed against Wales that other players can also score in this team. Romelu had only scored one of the four goals.”

The scorer will certainly not be Malick Fofana. After a brilliant start of the season with Olympique Lyonnais — who won their first three Ligue 1 matches — the winger was forced off injured against Marseille on Sunday. The former Gent player suffered an ankle injury.

So, who will find the net in the principality, and how many goals will there be? As many as the record in San Marino on February 28, 2001, under Robert Waseige? (1-10)
