Belgian Cup is back!

It’s a tradition. The week before Halloween always marks the return of the Belgian Cup for the clubs of our Jupiler Pro League. On Golden Vegas Sport, this is a moment we always look forward to.

The most dedicated fans already follow the weekly adventures of our national championship on our blog. But with the Round of 32 of the Croky Cup, things take a different turn. Everyone will be tuning in to their screens for one reason.

Will a professional club get knocked out by an amateur side? Here’s the full program — with one small tip: bet live, as upsets often create very interesting odds during the game.

Standard Liège in danger

And the first upset could come as soon as this Tuesday. While Anderlecht should comfortably beat Ninove, a third-division team, at Lotto Park, Standard Liège might have a much tougher time.

The Rouches are travelling to Waasland-Beveren, the current leader of the Challenger Pro League. Except for a draw against Beerschot, Beveren have won ten of their eleven games this season. Going there is no easy trip.

Especially since Standard just suffered a heavy 4–0 defeat in Ghent. Add to that the injury of Marco Ilaimaharitra, and you’ll understand why Liège fans aren’t so confident about progressing to the next round of this Croky Cup.

Charleroi will have to escape the trap

Another First Division team with a tricky draw: Sporting Charleroi. After four straight league defeats, the Zebras finally got back to winning ways against Anderlecht, but the trip to RFC Liège won’t be easy.

The synthetic pitch at Rocourt is always a trap. And Liège have just won four matches in a row. The Hainaut side will want revenge after being knocked out early at this same stage last year by Patro Eisden.

The circumstances might be even tougher. Gaëtan Englebert is doing a great job. I went to watch them play RWDM — they really have quality in their play, even if they can go for long balls too,” warned De Mil. Charleroi’s odds are currently set at 1.61 on our site or in our retail shops.

Who will succeed Club Brugge?

Among the other matches to watch, Genk host RWDM. The Limburgers are struggling in the league, managing only a draw against La Louvière. Coach Fink is under pressure, and they can’t afford another setback.

La Louvière will travel to Heist, while Antwerp face Eupen. Union, the Belgian champion, will head to Tubize-Braine. For Mazzù’s first match, OH Leuven will play Seraing. Club Brugge, defending champion, should have no problem against Aalst at the Jan Breydel Stadium.

Will the Blauw en Zwart manage to keep their title? That’s the question. Last year’s finalist Anderlecht know very well that the Belgian Cup is their best shot at a trophy. Bet now on
